Description: The JPIC Annual General Meet 2023 was conducted from the 1st of February to 3rd of February 2023. The venue selected for the meet was Loreto Day school at Elliot Road in Kolkata where 40 different schools belonging to both IBVM and CJs attended this Meet. The two girls who represented the school were Ametei Lariti Ryngnga and Shareth Iame Malngiang accompanied by Ms. S. Goswami. The events were well organised and the first day was mostly utilised for report sharing of the different activities conducted by the JPIC team and since it was the opening ceremony many cultural programmes were also witnessed by the gathering. On the second day, the workshop was more activity based where students were given an opportunity to divide themselves into different groups and select either of the two subjects provided by them.The two subjects included street play and street photography. The girls were trained by professionals from theatre as well as wildlife photography to get the best out of them.The whole day was spent in preparing the activities which would be displayed on the third day that is the closing ceremony day. The students who were a part of the street play had to create a scene based on the major concern specified in Laudato Si goals while the other group had to compile the photographs taken and transform it to a reel with a valuable message. The closing ceremony began with a good note where the street play was performed in three different locations and later the reels were played in the auditorium. The annual general meet was closed with the SDG theme for 2 years which stated the main concern as water conservation and reduction of child labour. The JPIC website was also launched during the activity. The girls have really enjoyed and gained a lot of knowledge as well as experience by attending this workshop. This workshop has really been an enriching one.
